Horse Trailer Year End Wrap Up

Well, it is been a very tough year for the horse trailer business. We have seen many dealerships close and many of our colleagues leave the industry to find work elsewhere. This is why consumers need to be even more careful than ever when making a purchase. Ask your sales person who runs the dealership and how they have been trained. Many people have never manged through a hard time such as we have now. See how long the company has been in business. Less than 5 years is not a good sign because it is unlikely that company has seen times nor have had the time to amass enough capital to weather this storm. If they have been in business less than 5 years, ask about the capitalization of the company. Give it a good smell test and if it does not feel smell right, then move on. The worst thing that could happen is that you place a deposit on a trailer and never see your trailer. Take the time to research the company.

February Update

We received our new Bloom Innovation, and for the money this is one serious trailer. Bloomer has lowered the price of these trailers for a production model that brings these trailer's price down in the range of affordability for most people. The Illinois horse fair has been canceled due to electrical problems. Our next show will be the Hoosier Horse Fair at the Indiana State fairgrounds.

Augusta Futurity

We horse trailer attention is now focused on the Augusta Futurity in Augusta, GA. We have taken 5 of our best horse trailers for sale to Augusta to offer the attendees of this show. This is a major cutting show, the largest on the east coast. People will come from all over the country to participate and which this cutting. The horses in this show are some of the best athletic horses in the country. We wish all the participants good luck and good riding.

Relatively slow week for horse trailers. Most people are busy with the holidays, and rightfully so. We have reduced more units and placed them in our bargain corral. Bloomer released a new production living quarters trailer called the Innovation. Our first trailer went to Duster for conversion this week. This is going to be a great deal for the entry level, premium horse trailer customer.

Big Horse Trailer Sold!

It was a fairly good week at Millennium Trailers. We were able to get our second largest trailers sold in our entire inventory of horse trailers. This was a beatiful hart horse trailer, 4 horse with a 17' shortwall front bedroom living quarters. This horse trailer with living quarters was in our booth at the 2007 American quarter horse congress. It can be viewed at in our online inventory system of horse trailers for sale. This was one of my favorite horse trailers because of the great color scheme, solid surface counter tops and marble backsplash. A 360 degree virtual tour of this trailer is available at horse trailer virtual tours section. We also sold a couple nice enclosed trailers this week, including 2 28' bumper pull trailers.
